Linda Connor

Linda Connor makes photographs in exotic locations throughout the world. Twenty of the images have been collected into a portfolio called Visits. These prints are large platinum photographs, different from her usual 8 x 10 contact prints on printing-out paper.

Ms. Connor's work is in over 40 major collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the High Museum of Art, Atlanta. She has had over 70 one-person shows throughout the world since the late 1960s. In the last two decades, she has been awarded a National Endowment for the Arts grant three times and also received a Guggenheim Fellowship.

She was born in 1944 and lives in Marin County, California. Since 1969, Ms. Connor has been a Professor in the Photography Department of the San Francisco Art Institute.

8 x 10 inch contact prints on printing-out paper are $900.00, and 18 x 23 inch platinum prints are $2,500.00.

A superb catalogue of the Visits photographs is available for $6.00. It was published in 1996 by the Robert B. Menschel Photography Gallery, Schine Student Center, Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.
