| This is a truly lovely photograph by Robert Doisneau (1912-1994). I have heard it said that this is one of the great photographs of rain, capturing a number of complex emotions associated with the weather and its effects on the empty, childless merry-go-round. The image size is 12 x 9½, and the condition is perfect, except that the ink of the signature is a bit faded. The price is $5,800.00, considerably less than another that is on the market from a New York gallery. (SOLD) |
