Cloud in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, 1979

Near Sydney, Nova Scotia, I calculated my exposure as if the bright part of the sky were the middle tone, and so cut the filmís latitude in half. In 1979, Canadian law required drivers to keep their headlights on in daylight. The pictureís vigor depends on the bond between the sun, shining through the whale of a cloud, and the two tiny dots on the highway below. If you donít think so, just cover up the dots.
