| Annie Leibovitz stood on one of eight gargoyles that extend from the 61st floor of the Chrysler Building in New York City. David Parsons, a dancer, posed for her on the next gargoyle. A daredevil assistant handeded Leibovitz fresh film. Watching from the safety of a terrace, I wondered if any photograph could justify the risks they were taking.
